Title: Image de la Plaine
2009
September the 20th 1986
Few times a week we used to go to visit my grandparents in an other village five kilometers south from where we lived. My grandparents were nice people, old farmers very friendly and hilarious. They were my mother’s father and mother and even if she used to say that they did not treat her good when she was a kid I had nothing against them. They lived in an old house in the countryside with lots of animals. I remember that single day because while my mother was chatting with her mother and my grandfather was out, I sneaked into my uncle’s room and by chance I found under his bed a porn magazine.

Title: The Blank Entertainer
2009
As the title suggests The Blank Entertainer is an entertainer that one day finds himself on stage totally blank; he simply can’t remember his words, his songs. His memory has totally failed him. His lost. At first he tries to escape the situation but is apparently pushed back by the stage-manager. After trying his best to get the show going he give up or give in somehow accepting his lost memory and identity.

Title: Memory
The most important idea behind this piece that I tried to illustrate was the sketch of a person. I created my character, gave him a background story, a name, and skills, but none of these are mentioned in the piece. I stripped the character being remembered of everything but the features we tend to evoke as most important. I wanted to demonstrate that when you recall what a person looks like or how they act, you are in fact using your imagination.
