—> curatorial statement:
Memory and Identity in Bosnian video art is represented by two varieties: on first place there are works that refers on recent war and post traumatic elements in society, but on the other side there are works that refers on some universal problems and ideas of art. This selection (compilation) of video art is a part of namaTRE.ba video project that is some kind of “other” independent scene inside Bosnia&Herzegovinia that represent (un)institutional art. Those works that are traying to open problems and question of memory and identity have influenced by war, religion and migration instead of those “ordinary” works that refers on collectiive identities and metaphysics.

is stop motion animation which deals with reception of some known historical character. Did images that are well known to ordinary person as bad experience, can cause different emotions (memories) when we put them in some other context? Is there a change on perception of image, or that images changing the context of situation in which they exist?

Bad Resolution Fuck
The video and audio do not correspond on a visible level. Such actions in certain periods in the lives of the people who led or initiated (or still initiate) devastation represented (or represent) an orgasmic pleasure in destroying human lives. The audio is an element whose diametrically contextual opposition puts the work in a destabilising position. When those two elements encounter in the work, we do not have a case of synthesis meant to merge them into one. It is a deconstructive opposition involving a third aspect, something which destablises the two manipulative elements in the work.
